Iwas at the game on Saturday and I was shocked by how much room we gave Dagenham’s midfield. Whenever they were in possession we stood off the player trying to block his pathmore than to put a challenge in and try and have a go at them. We were out-played yesterday and that is a simple fact.

Saturday’s game was a mess, they had way too much time on the ball and we allowed them to build and then when we did manage to pick the ball up in midfield we could not do anything with it due to the lack of pace in midfield. I don’t know whether fitness is lacking of we have not signed the right type of players over the summer but we must do better than this on Tuesday against York.

If Saturday is anything to go by then we need to go out and procure the services of a) A Striker, we couldn’t hit a barn door from 5 yards –B) two wingers, my granny could have run with the ball quicker and C) a set-piece coach, where was the marking on Saturday? Bad start for us there, I expected us to do better, we haven’tgot the time to "Adjust" to this league, we should have enough talent in the squad to hit the ground running.

Im still confident after watching Saturday’s performance, at times in thefirst half we looked fluent and that was especially the case after they scored, we went right at them and they were half asleep. The difference in the Second half was obvious, we just weren’t at the races. Still encouraging signs though and despite some of the doom and gloom on thetrain on the way back and the severe lack of coffee from the on boardshop it was still a decent day out.
